Buck Creek Farm simply began as a hobby for the brother-sister team Jeff and Beth Perryman. They wanted to have healthy meat choices for their families - animals raised humanely on pasture and supplemented with non-GMO feed. This hobby grew quickly into a full fledge farm - Buck Creek Farm.
Today, Buck Creek raises chickens, turkeys and cows with the same philosophy - healthy pasture, healthy feed, room to roam. Buck Creek's system is a complete 180º contrast to the conventional indoor chicken farms known as Confined Animal Farming Operations. They have devised a pasture system for the chickens that allows them to graze outdoors on fresh grass and insects, but are kept safe from predators such as raccoons, hawks, owls, fox, possums, coyotes, and wild dogs. (Seems like everything and everyone one likes to eat chicken.)
Not only are they known for their incredibly flavorful chicken and turkey meat, but Buck Creek produces two styles of chicken pies using the whole chicken: Moravian Chicken Pie and Southern Chicken Pot Pie.
