Snider's Dairy is a family-owned dairy farm located near Denton, North Carolina. They have a small herd that currently consists of 56 of the most gentle and friendliest dairy cows you will ever meet.
The farm is owned and operated by Mark Snider and his three boys: Robert, Joshua, and Jacob. Joshua Snider also works as the agriculture instructor at West Davidson High School and brings high school students to work, learn and participate in the washing, cleaning and milking of his herd.
This small dairy is an ideal opportunity for visitors to get a first-hand experience of milking cows unlike many modern conventional dairy farms. Snider's Dairy is organized to allow for visitors and volunteers to experience farm life.
The farm primarily milks Holstein and Jersey cows along with some cross bred animals. Snider's cows spend most of their days out grazing on the pasture and are fed a complete mixed ration grain free from hormones and milk enhancing supplements. Each one of the cows has a name and are referred to by name rather than their Id tags.
