Agroforestry Farm Tour: Seed Theory

Join us for a guided tour of Seed Theory Farm, a 5-acre agroforestry project located just outside downtown Durham. Farmer Kaleb Karczewski is growing a wide variety of vegetables using an alley cropping system—blending trees, crops, and livestock in a sustainable, community-minded way.

You’ll explore:
🌱 Agroforestry practices in action
🌾 Alley cropping and vegetable production
🐑 Livestock integration and invasive species management
🌿 An emerging nature trail and plans for farm-to-table events
📦 Insights into launching a CSA (coming 2025!)

This free, educational event is hosted by NC State's Alternative Crops and Organics Program in partnership with Virginia Tech, with support from the Edwards Mother Earth Foundation.
