Join Hector Lopez on-farm in Durham, NC Memorial Day Weekend for a Permaculture Immersion from an Indigenous Perspective!

It has been proven that Indigenous people around the world have an essential relationship with nature. We are still the main protectors of Mother Earth, but our contributions have been downplayed by western civilization.

The weekend-long immersion is a transformative experience that will deepen your connection to land, community, and regenerative living. During our time together, you’ll gain hands-on skills and new perspectives through workshops on permaculture from an Indigenous lens, urban organic farming, cob building, backyard composting, permaculture design, contouring and terraces, and even the process of building a composting toilet. You’ll also receive practical tools to develop your own agritourism project and bring your vision to life. Throughout the weekend, you’ll cultivate meaningful relationships with fellow farmers and aspiring growers—sharing knowledge, stories, and inspiration in a collaborative and supportive environment.

The immersion will conclude with an optional sweat lodge/temazcal ceremony, offering space for healing and deeper connection with one another and the land.
