Expand Your Gardening Skills with Davidson County's 2026 Extension Gardening Classes
Whether you're tending a backyard vegetable patch, maintaining a lush lawn, or simply looking to sharpen your gardening knowledge, the 2026 Extension Gardening Class Series offers a great opportunity to learn from local experts.
Hosted by N.C. Cooperative Extension in Davidson County, these free educational workshops are open to the public and cover a variety of practical gardening topics designed for beginners and experienced gardeners alike. Registration is required for each session.
All classes will be held from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at the Davidson County Agricultural Center, located at 301 E. Center Street, Lexington, NC.

August 4: Vegetable Gardening
August 11: Healthy Lawns
August 18: Home Fruits
August 25: Woody and Herbaceous Ornamentals
September 1: Soils and Plant Fertilization
September 8: Integrated Pest Management
Participants will gain science-based information and practical tips that can be applied in home gardens and landscapes throughout the growing season. The series also serves as part of the educational pathway for individuals interested in becoming Extension Master Gardener volunteers, though anyone with an interest in gardening is welcome to attend.
