Love local farms and want to be part of a day that brings the community together? Volunteer for the Davidson County Farm Tour!

Each year, volunteers help make the Farm Tour possible by supporting participating farms and helping visitors have a great experience. There are a variety of ways to get involved, including:

• Helping place and remove Farm Tour signs along roads

• Assisting farms with selling products and answering visitor questions

• Helping guide visitors and provide information during farm tours

• Assisting with parking and traffic flow

• Helping with setup and cleanup

• Supporting farms and event staff wherever an extra hand is needed

No farming experience is required! Whether you can help for a few hours or stay for the entire event, your time makes a difference.

The Davidson County Farm Tour is a seasonal volunteer opportunity, with volunteers needed around the annual event.

Our volunteers play a vital role in supporting our farmers, small business owners, and market managers every Saturday. Whether you're an early riser ready to help with market set-up, someone who enjoys engaging with shoppers through traffic counts, or you’re excited to assist with cooking demos and community outreach, there’s a place for you here.

Volunteering at the market is a great way to meet new people, support local food systems, and be part of something that brings real value to Thomasville.

Volunteer at the Lexington Farmers Market

The Lexington Farmers Market (LFM) operates weekly on Saturday mornings from May to mid-October in Lexington, North Carolina's historic Depot District. You'll typically find 30+ vendors at the Depot with local meats, eggs, dairy, and honey; fruits and vegetables; baked goods and sweets; coffee and tea; and handmade artisan crafts. All of our vendors are based in Davidson County and surrounding regions.

From January to April, we operate the Davidson County Winter Farmers Market, also located at the Depot.

When you buy from a Lexington Farmers Market vendor, you can be assured that the produce, plants, crafts, and food items purchased are of top quality and have been approved by the LFM Board of Directors and the co-market managers.
