High Rock Nursery

Despite what our name suggests, High Rock Nursery is more than just a grower of ornamental shrubs and trees. We also grow strawberries, blueberries, and blackberries and many varieties of seasonal vegetables. We offer the berries pre-picked or u-pick.

Farmers are a curious and experimental bunch. A farmer is one part scientist, weatherman, manual laborer, breeder, and all parts dreamer. High Rock Nursery's Thomas Penninger is no different. Although he grows and supplies many of the common plants used in this area, he also  ventures into growing new cultivars and varieties of other plants that may perform well in the landscape for our area.

In addition to fruits and vegetables, Penninger is also a beekeeper and rancher. High Rock Nursery now offers Angus beef and sweet local honey. Don't let the name deceive you, but this farm does it all  - fruit, vegetables, animals and bees.

This June the blackberries and blueberries should be plumping up ready for you to pick.
