An all-volunteer run community garden through the Lexington Parks & Recreation, the Robbins Recreation Center community garden offers visitors an opportunity to explore an urban garden that uses a raised-bed model. Community members are encouraged to participate and harvest from the garden. 

Thinking of starting your own community garden?

The Lexington Parks & Recreation Community garden would be an ideal location to visit for those who are considering on starting their own community garden.

Community Garden Coordinator Becca Franklin, who recently completed and authored a Guidebook on Sustainable Community Gardens will be on hand to discuss the various models nationwide that have shown success. Copies of her guide book will be available.  Take advantage of her expertise to answer questions and talk about the community sustainable models of urban gardens.
