Correll Farms

Located in Cleveland, North Carolina, Correll Farms, LLC is a sixth-generation family farm with a rich agricultural heritage dating back to the late 1880s. What began when Martha Correll purchased farmland to provide an inheritance for her son, Franklin, has grown into a thriving, diversified farming operation rooted in stewardship, conservation, and a deep commitment to preserving agricultural traditions for future generations.

Today, David and Cheryl Correll operate the farm alongside their children, Josie and Talton, continuing a legacy of innovation and adaptability that has sustained the family farm for more than 130 years. Throughout its history, the farm has evolved to meet changing agricultural and economic conditions, transitioning from row crops to a Grade A dairy operation, and later expanding into diversified vegetable production.

Correll Farms currently grows more than 100 varieties of vegetables, along with potatoes, melons, tomatoes, peppers, and other seasonal crops. The farm also maintains a flock of laying hens that produce colorful, farm-fresh eggs. Their products are available through farmers markets, food hubs, local restaurants, wholesale channels, and their long-running home delivery service.

Conservation has always been at the heart of the farm's mission. Generations of the Correll family have championed soil and water conservation, farmland preservation, and sustainable farming practices. In recognition of these efforts, the farm was named Conservation Farm Family of the Year in 2019. To ensure the land remains a working farm forever, Correll Farms is protected under a Conservation Easement in perpetuity, safeguarding its agricultural future for generations to come.

Rabble and Rise Baking Company

Owner, Kivi Miller

Rabble and Rise Baking Co. is a family-run, mother–daughter bakery based in Lexington, North Carolina, operating out of a NC-certified home kitchen. Founded by Kivi Leroux Miller and her daughter Jianna, the bakery blends creativity, community, and craftsmanship into every batch of baked goods, offering treats made with care, personality, and a touch of playful “good trouble.”

The bakery’s name—Rabble and Rise—reflects both its spirit and its process. Inspired by the idea of “raising a little good trouble,” the brand celebrates creativity, community action, and the natural magic of baking itself, where yeast brings dough to life. What began as family baking traditions and Girl Scout fundraising projects evolved into a full-fledged small business rooted in storytelling, connection, and homemade quality.

Rabble and Rise operates from a renovated building behind the family home that was once an electrical shop, now transformed into a fully inspected and licensed commercial kitchen and retail bakery space. Since officially launching in 2022, the bakery has grown its offerings while maintaining its commitment to small-batch production and locally grounded values.

Rocky Forge Farm

Rocky Forge Farm is a sustainable, family-owned farm located in Churchland, North Carolina, dedicated to producing premium American Wagyu beef through regenerative farming practices and careful herd management. Established on land that has been in the family since 1878, the farm represents a deep agricultural heritage combined with a modern commitment to quality, sustainability, and animal welfare.

Now led by fifth-generation steward Michael Jones, Rocky Forge Farm has been revitalized with a focus on raising exceptional Wagyu cattle while improving soil health and restoring pasture quality. Since 2018, the farm has specialized in American Wagyu production and is recognized as the only Wagyu-focused farm in the Piedmont region of North Carolina.

The farm’s journey into Wagyu beef began in 2017, when the owners were inspired by their first experience tasting Wagyu ribeye. That moment sparked a long-term vision to regenerate the family land and build a herd rooted in superior genetics and sustainable practices. Today, the farm raises cattle that combine Wagyu and Angus genetics, emphasizing marbling, tenderness, and rich flavor.

SHOP THEIR PRODUCTS

Rocky Forge Farm operates on a long, intentional production cycle, with cattle typically raised over a three-year process from breeding to harvest. Their approach prioritizes slow, natural growth, high-quality forage, and a low-stress environment—key factors that contribute to the distinctive marbling and flavor of Wagyu beef.

A major focus of the farm is genetics, particularly the Tajima bloodline, known for producing highly marbled beef. Through selective breeding and careful herd management, Rocky Forge Farm aims to produce F1 and F2 Wagyu cattle with exceptional tenderness and flavor profiles. Their animals are raised on pasture with a carefully managed diet of orchard grass, timothy, fescue, and crimson clover, much of which is grown on-site to ensure quality and sustainability.

Soil health and land stewardship are central to the farm’s philosophy. Through regular soil testing, cover cropping, and responsible fertilization practices, Rocky Forge Farm maintains productive pastures while reducing environmental impact. These efforts support both the health of the land and the quality of the beef produced.

Seven Sisters Farm

Seven Sisters Farm is a family-operated, four-season farm located in North Carolina, dedicated to producing a wide variety of fruits and vegetables through sustainable, ecologically responsible farming practices. Built on a foundation of family heritage, resilience, and a deep respect for the land, the farm is committed to improving soil health while providing fresh, affordable food to the local community.

The farm’s story began with Janice, one of seven sisters raised on a multi-generational tobacco and produce farm with roots in Southern Maryland dating back to the 1600s, and Michael, a Denton native with a strong connection to the land. After meeting during a natural resources field experience at NC State University, the two were married in 2011 and eventually returned to North Carolina, where they launched The Fine Farming Company in 2014. This operation later evolved into what is now known as Seven Sisters Farm.

Seven Sisters Farm is built on the philosophy that healthy soil creates healthy food. The farm prioritizes regenerative practices such as cover cropping, crop rotation, integrated pest management, mulching, and season extension techniques. It also emphasizes the use of regionally adapted seed varieties and permanent no-till beds to reduce soil disturbance and improve long-term land productivity.

A central focus of the farm is soil regeneration and ecological balance. By prioritizing soil mineralization, biological health, and reduced chemical inputs, Seven Sisters Farm aims to create a resilient agricultural system that supports both productivity and environmental sustainability. Their approach reflects a commitment to “leading rather than pushing,” allowing natural systems to guide production while minimizing stress on crops and livestock.

The farm operates year-round, producing a diverse range of vegetables and maintaining a strong focus on educating themselves and their community about sustainable agriculture. In addition to production farming, Seven Sisters Farm also shares its knowledge through stewardship-based consulting services, helping others develop productive and sustainable land-use systems.

At its core, Seven Sisters Farm is driven by a mission to feed families, strengthen local food systems, and support long-term agricultural stability. Through hard work, continuous learning, and a commitment to ecological responsibility, the farm continues to evolve while staying grounded in its original vision of a simpler, more intentional farm-centered life.

Heritage Harvest

Heritage Harvest Farms is a seventh-generation, family-run North Carolina Century Farm focused on restoring historic farmland and strengthening community connections through sustainable agriculture. Operating across the Wilson Place in Pfafftown and Flynt Farm in Germanton, North Carolina, the farm continues a legacy that spans more than 150 years of agricultural stewardship.

Rooted in deep family history, the land has supported generations through a wide variety of agricultural uses, including dairy, tobacco, livestock, grains, fruit orchards, and vegetable production. After a period of dormancy beginning in the 1980s, the farms have been revitalized with a renewed mission: to restore, protect, and sustainably utilize the land for future generations.

Today, Heritage Harvest Farms produces mushrooms, honey, heirloom produce, flowers, and other specialty agricultural products. The farm is also home to an apiary, hardwood forest resources, and wellness-focused land experiences, blending traditional farming with modern regenerative and community-centered practices. Several pastures also support a horse rescue, providing a safe and permanent home for rescued animals.

The farm is food safety certified, NCDA&CS approved, and operated by licensed foragers and certified beekeepers. This strong focus on compliance and responsible production ensures that all products meet high standards for safety, quality, and sustainability.

Heritage Harvest Farms is operated by Drew and Claire Parrish, who met at Appalachian State University and later returned to agriculture after careers off the farm. Their shared passion for farming, ecology, and community development led them to specialize in complementary areas—Claire focusing on flowers and field crops, and Drew focusing on mushrooms and beekeeping.

Farmer’s Daughter Organics

Farmer’s Daughter Organics is a family-operated produce farm established in 2014 in North Carolina, built on a multi-generational farming legacy spanning more than six generations. The farm was originally created to expand upon the family’s existing agricultural roots, which included certified organic dairy production and market-based sales.

The farm is operated by Brittany and Jason, who combined their shared agricultural backgrounds—Brittany growing up on a dairy farm and Jason developing a passion for gardening with his family—to create a diversified produce operation. Over time, the farm transitioned away from dairy production and evolved into a dedicated organic produce farm focused on growing a wide variety of fruits and vegetables.

In 2022, the operation expanded through the purchase of additional family land known as Keeper Creek Farm, which carries its own deep agricultural history. This second farm location, situated approximately two miles away, functions as a complementary U-pick operation under the name “Farmer’s Daughter at Keeper Creek,” while the original farm continues as a diversified produce-growing operation.

Farmer’s Daughter Organics emphasizes organic growing practices and land stewardship, prioritizing crop rotation, succession planting, companion planting, and cover cropping. The farm also utilizes high tunnels and organic soil systems to support year-round production while managing pests and weeds through natural methods rather than synthetic inputs.

The farm philosophy is grounded in a commitment to working with the land rather than against it, recognizing the challenges and realities of organic farming while striving to produce clean, responsibly grown food. Their approach reflects a balance between productivity and ecological awareness, with a strong emphasis on soil health and sustainable farming systems.

Beyond production, Farmer’s Daughter Organics is deeply connected to its family heritage and agricultural traditions. The farm continues a legacy of land stewardship and food production that has supported multiple generations, with a focus on passing that tradition forward to future generations of the family.
